ATTENTION MIAMI-AREA Family Caregivers and Seniors "SENIOR Rx SAVINGS WEEK" LEARN HOW YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONE CAN ACCESS SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS ON PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES WITH MEDICARE-APPROVED DRUG DISCOUNT CARDS! Jefferson Reaves, Sr. Health Center Department of Family Medicine, University of Miami School of Medicine 1009 N.W. 5th Avenue, near Downtown Miami Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 am to 2 pm and Monday, Oct. 25 -Friday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 7 pm LOW-COST PRESCRIPTIONS Free Refreshments! Seniors and/or family caregivers of seniors are encouraged to attend and bring their medications or a list of medications including dosage, where they will: -MEET WITH A FAMILY PHYSICIAN The physician will review the seniors' medicines and look for expired medicines. -LEARN ABOUT THE NEW MEDICARE-APPROVED DRUG DISCOUNT CARD PROGRAM

Periodic presentations (in English and Spanish) will be given to explain how the program works and how to navigate the Medicare.gov website to help understand the choices and how to enroll with the Medicare-Approved Drug Discount Card Program. To be eligible, seniors must be enrolled in Medicare. The Jefferson Reaves, Sr. Health Center and the University of Miami Department of Family Medicine will host SENIOR Rx SAVINGS WEEK with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and its Foundation; the Florida Academy of Family Physicians; the National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA); and Pfizer Inc.
